AN ODE TO ALULA

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE SCHOOL OF TRADITIONAL ARTS

Penhaligon's AlUla

Throughout the decades, Penhaligon’s has been devoted champions of local craftsmanship and culture. Having celebrated all the whimsically wonderful signwriters, corset makers and artists in our midst, the launch of Penhaligon’s AlUla required us to look further afield to celebrate storytellers across the globe.

It should come as no surprise that our noses lead us to The School Of Traditional Arts in AlUla - a creative hub ran by The King’s Foundation that inspires local craftspeople to feel a genuine sense of pride for their heritage (a mission that sits particularly close to our hearts). Here, artisans are encouraged to design and create products that reflect the dramatic and beautiful landscapes that surround them.

When concocting our latest fragrance, Penhaligon’s couldn’t help but feel inspired by the natural beauty of AlUla and asked The School Of Traditional Arts to create something in honour of our new scent. It seemed only fitting that bespoke incense holders were to be created in homage of our star ingredient.

Creativity Carved In Stone

Designed and made by local artisans in AlUla, the bespoke incense holders draw from the creativity of the local community itself, showcasing the diversity and harmony of different cultures and traditions, embedded in the sand swept landscapes that surround them.

Discover The Fragrance

A story of date palms swaying in a harvest wind, bringing with it the scent of citrus and fig. Plum and spice. Incense and saffron. A history steeped in spice markets and spirituality. Tales of creativity and community spun into a cultural tapestry.
