  • Quite simply, a masterpiece, indeed, an Opus! Like every opus, this is wide ranging, a complete oeuvre that inspires and reveals itself in chapters….

The preface; a companion that is robust, but never heavy. Classic without being déjà vu. A fragrance that stands for tradition in a way that transcends time. As the story develops: A chypre exhibiting at every stage an invisible precision. Signing its individuality with a vigorous dose of pepper - but one that never bites. Illuminated by fresh Japanese citrus yuzu. The crescendo: Finely balanced with English Rose and clove. The finale: Musks, and a medley of exquisite woods (Cedarwood, Australian sandalwood, Gaiac wood).

A perfume with facets that chime in time. A perfume story that enchants.
    The End.

Where Have You Been All My Life Review
Just discovered this while holidaying in Gran Canaria. The shop was displaying the Penhaligon's range. I went back two days in a row to smell Opus 187...0 before buying a bottle to bring back to Ireland. A subtle, seductive, sexy fragrance that smells just as good hours later as it does when first sprayed. Takes pride of place in my fragrance collection and is now my firm favourite.  ... more

Part Of My Identity Review
As a writer, I love Penhaligon's because each scent helps me reach characters, scenes and worlds on a more intimate level. But Opus is different, beca...use it's the one fragrance that I feel reflects me myself. It is close to me. I don't feel whole without it. This was first introduced to me as a scent worn mainly by men, inspired by the scent of a tailor's (I think that's right?). But for me, Opus is wooden floorboards, dog-eared books, the colour green and dust motes suspended in daylight. When I first bought it, my partner was concerned that it wasn't a 'feminine' scent, but now he loves it.   ... more

Quiet Supremacy Review
Opus doesn't shout it whispers with timeless confidence. As much at ease in the boardroom as in the drawing room, its understated élan inspires trust,... elicits awareness and affirms tacit authority. If you were to climb a mountain in search of a fragrance, this is what you would find.  ... more
