Penhaligon's Recipe for Perfectly Layered Scent

Layers of Love

Discover the art of layering through Penhaligon's tried and tested recipe for creating a long-lasting scent.

How might one create a recipe for perfectly layered scent?

Well, a decadent five course affair of delicious scents ought to suffice. Luxurious elixirs, divine Bath & Body delights, lotions, potions and – how could we forget? – more perfumed wonders than you’ll know what to do with. My, my, one’s nostrils certainly are bigger than one’s stomach.

The Method

1.) Sink into the tub and lather oneself if Penhaligon’s Body & Hand Wash until squeaky clean and refreshingly fragrant.

2.) Once dry, a tuppence sized dollop of Body & Hand Lotion leaves skin soft with a light veil of one’s signature scent.

3.) To leave a lasting impression, a glaze of Dry Body Oil makes for a presentable and perfectly perfumed individual.

4.) For a fragrance that lingers, lightly spritz one’s pulse points with a scent of your choosing. For best results: Use the same scent throughout this process.

5.) To add a touch of finesse, mist one’s tresses in Penhaligon’s Hair Perfume.
