Royally Redolent Wreaths
The last thing Penhaligon’s want is for our discerning patrons to be caught in a tangle while wrapping their wreath. So, allow us and the esteemed expert Kavia of @myladygarden to offer some proper education on the matter…
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
“At Christmas time I love to surround myself with all things joyful! I like to decorate and be immersed with bright colours. I found a lot of inspiration from my mother's childhood festive decorations, all hand painted and in quirky characters, such as bears and penguins. I tried to channel this quirky, fun and very playful design into this dried Christmas Wreath!
This one is made entirely of dried and preserved flowers. My top tips when creating a dried wreath, is to work with a variety of colours to give a really nice depth to your design, and try and alternate with textures. Here we used dried palms, amaranth, and strawflower to name a few! This will keep your design super interesting and even more fun to create at home. When creating, layer in bunches to keep the shapes of your materials stronger, and try and arrange in one direction to create a smooth silhouette. Keep your wreath covered in a cool, dry place and use again for years to come!
The Horn wreath was inspired by the traditional song the 12 days of Christmas - with a Penhaligon's Twist! We created this wreath using a vintage French horn, white statice to give a frosty feel, and varying types of evergreen and pine! Top tips when working with pine are to pre wire your greenery, and to layer in a zig zag pattern to give a more full feel to your design, and to properly cover your wreath base. The horn wreath was a "half wreath", but you can play around with either a full or half shape on yours at home!
Happy Christmas! ”

Flower Heavy, Bold and Punchy!
I specialise in events and weddings, transforming your space with an abundance of florals, with designs that are flower heavy, bold and punchy. They make statements and are unapologetically unique.
I’m drawn to bright colours and multiple textures, working more with a specific colour palette + mood as inspiration for my designs. I then convey these moods using seasonal flora to give life to your vision.
My Lady Garden (Kaiva) is a traveling florist, who is primarily based in the UK.
