Definitely Dandy
Since buying this scent is one that is discovered by others rather than loudly and brashly announcing itself, others rarely fail to comment upon it. It is subtle, confident and understated in its elegance, starting with a rich resinous scent and settling to a Palo Santo-like fragrance as the day progresses. Since it's purchase, it has certainly become one of my choice fragrances.

Still using Penhaligon after 50+ years
I first visited the shop in London when I was 25 years old in 1972 and purchased, I believe, Opus 1870 along with Sartorial. Since that date, I have continued with both fragrances. Later, I bought "The Duke" and have tried several other fragrances. What makes Penaligon's Company different is two things: their service and the consistency of their Fragrances. They are exclusive, and everybody comments on them when I use them. For my 77th Birthday, I received "The Tragedy Of Lord George," another interesting Fragrance. Which I also use now. Amazingly Different
The raspberry and whiskey combination is very different but done so well. Not like anything in my collection and I love it. Perfect for daily winter wear or could be used as a sophisticated date night scent.
