I bought this as a wedding day surprise/gift for my cousin because I was lucky enough to be her maid of honor. She excitedly uncapped it to smell while we were all getting ready. It instantly permeated the room in an enticing and gentle way and nearly everyone sighed or hummed in delight at its wafting scent. The scent lasted all night and was not overpowering at any point (which normally you'd expect from a fragrance that's potent enough to last). It's warm and sweet in an elegant and sophisticated way, yet it's not something you can quite place. It's something you want to stick your nose into and just enjoy over and over again because it never gets tired. If I had to envision someone who would wear this to accurately describe its essence it would be like a powerful ceo of a woman. But she would not be stuck up or cold. She'd be professional and kid, with soft skin and styled flowing hair. She'd be nurturing and gentle, but would put others in their place if they tried to intimidate her. If this sounds like someone you'd adore or aspire to be, I can't reccomend this scent enough. I even went back and bought some of the scent libraries that contain Constantinople for myself, and I love wearing it (even as someone who gets migraines and seizures induced by scent, most companies aren't safe for me to wear or be around for long periods of time). This is the perfect perfume for a 10 year anniversary, a wedding, or simply something special to celebrate a new job and want something to wear to the office.

Perfect scent - I love Penhaligons but with the pandemic I haven’t been able to buy so this was my first purchase post home working. I love the depth and spice. I wear it every day. The box packaging is beautiful. I will defiantly buy again. I also bought a travel atomiser - perfect

So this fragrance is quite unisex. It seems to have the same spice base as the trade route collection but is light like Babylon. The floral top notes are light and well chosen mingling with spice base to give what I can only describe as a marine sweetness in the middle. Almost a gourmand but not identifiable. Possibly a salty baklava ha! Extremely persistent I could smell the warm creamy spice for hours. Guaranteed to turn heads, draw remarks and get lots of hugs off your loved ones

Constantinople is sensually seductive with frozen lavender layered with geraniums & iris, completed with patchouli & vanilla. Irresistible!

I can't recommend Constantinople enough; it's a modern fragrance with roots from times gone by. The rose and iris warm on my skin which creates a wonderful powdery sensual, sophisticated and elegant scent. As it dries down you get an intoxicating earthy finish.
