I recently bought this perfume, it is my first Penhaligon's scent, and I am absolutely in love with it. I have tried many samples of different scents from this house, giving up feeling defeated a couple times, to try to find my signature Penhaligons scent, and this one struck me like lightning when I first smelled it on my skin. I thought of nothing else until I finally got my hands on this bottle. The licorice, myrrh and bergamot are blended so elegantly that it is sweet, bright, powerful, yet seductive. I am a big perfume enthusiast and I sincerely hope that this scent is around a long time because I have ignored the rest of my collection entirely in favor of this bottle for the last 2 months. I so wish there were bath and body products in this scent because as the saying goes, "I could bathe in this stuff!"

Goodness, I was mesmerised by this the first time I tested it and have not wavered from that. It is so deep and mysterious but never overwhelming. Transports you back in time to a place of enchantment. Glorious, thank you.

This is my December fragrance, hands down! It's so comforting, unique and warming, it's like you're surrounded by something both ancient and Christmasy. Perfect myrrh fragrance and reminiscent of warm, sunny deserts when the world is cold and dark. A definite head-turner with ensuing, curious compliments aplenty. :)

I'll be honest, it took me a few spritz to get used to this one but once my nose figured it out it's now one of my absolute favourites, and I will definitely be purchasing the full size! I prefer it after about 15 minutes so the head note of fennel fades away and the myrrh, amber and vanilla come through instead; then it smells so warm, comforting and exotic, and it lasts for hours. Absolutely beautiful. ❤️
