BRINGING BELOVED HALFETI HOME
HOW TO RECREATE THE ICONIC FRAGRANCE USING SCENTED CANDLES

Ah, Halfeti. One of Penhaligon’s best-selling scents, and for good reason, too. Some say it’s love in a bottle – intoxicating and mysterious. Vigorous grapefruit, Levantine spice and the fabled black rose jostle for attention, as an oud base grounds the senses. All while bergamot and jasmine take anyone within smelling distance on an amorous adventure.
Alas, if one desires Halfeti in the abode, prepare for heartbreak. For there is no variant that serves as a home fragrance. What a tragedy!
But what’s this? Some clever clogs have devised a method to mimic Halfeti with our feted candles. Swoon!
It’s all about creating the perfect combination…
Start with Maduro Leaf. Its smoky and darker undertones match Halfeti’s rather nicely. They’re warm, comforting and oh so sumptuous.
To conjure the spicy floral aspects of Halfeti, sniff no further than Kumgan Rose. The opulence of rose mingles with spices such as nutmeg, Sichuan pepper and saffron. Fresh and fragrant, this is the heart of the scent.
And last, but not least, for those who absolutely want to pull out the oud aspects, Sinking Oud will echo Halfeti’s unwavering base note. A precious treasure of a candle – but we shan’t blame you if you burn it with reckless abandon.
A final tip before the feet go up on the ottoman: place the three candles around the room in different locations. This will create a floating ambiance of scent with notes melding together rather lovingly.
Halfeti for the home. Thank heavens, it is possible, after all.
