I sampled this scent nearly 2 years ago in store and could not forget it since. I got a bottle recently and I’ve had nothing but compliments. It’s a rich and memorable scent. The Sandalwood-y incense fragrance it’s very Oud like. Would highly recommend as a signature scent or a gift.

I told myself I wouldn't get another spicy rose but this one was just too good as an exception. This is my first Penhaligon's purchase and the associate at Wellington St brought it to me after I explained my favorites are "floriental," sweet 'n' spicy. For me the saffron really claims the spotlight in the top note, which can be polarizing if you find it latexy. I find it milder than Baccarat Rouge's saffron. What won me over is the complexity and longevity of Cairo. After about 20min it transports you to a dimly lit boudoir, vases of roses from your secret admirers cover every surface of furniture while smoky tendrils of sandalwood, labdanum, and patchouli incense meander through beams of sunlight. The store associate liberally sprayed this on the tissue paper for my shopping bag, and I still smelled it 2 days later.

I bought a sample of this scent, next day bought the 100ml bottle! It has a lovely scent, sweet fresh smelling and long lasting. I would 100% recommend it and definitely will buy again!
