Originally cultivated in hot climates of the Middle East, East Asia and the Mediterranean, the pistachio is one of the oldest nut trees. In times gone by, pistachio was often used in dyes and medicines – and thankfully, now it is used in perfumery. As addictive as it is unusual, salted pistachio adds both creamy and green qualities to a scent.
