Penhaligon's

Isn’t it awfully frustrating when the answer is on the tip of one’s nose? Enter ‘Making Scents of It’, the rather befuddling new web series where we put Britain’s finest noses to the test.

Brought to you by Penhaligon’s TV, of course.

CHINENYE EZEUDU

Penhaligon’s welcomes London-based actor Chinenye Ezeudu to put her sense of smell to the test. Known for her leading role in hit Netflix series, ‘Sex Education’, we rather hope we can inspire a little schooling of our own. Some might even call it an education for the nose.

What is your relationship with fragrance?

“Fragrance for me is like a warm hug…and I just like to go about my day feeling hugged.”

– Chinenye Ezeudu

HARRIET ROSE

Coming up next, Presenter and DJ Harriet Rose gives Making Scents of It a spin. Keen to share some of her guilty olfactive pleasures, Penhaligon’s amps up the stakes with a few rather peculiar items under the bell jar. Care to take a whiff?

How do you apply fragrance?

“The secret thing that I’ve learnt is to spray your feet!”

– Harriet Rose

ADAM REED

All sorts of befuddlements befall fragrance afficionado Adam Reed in this latest installment of Making Scents of It. A true Penhaligon’s patriot through and through, the hair stylist proves that some nostrils can’t be fooled. Just be careful not to confuse your potatoes with your turnips, won’t you.

What does Britishness mean to you?

“Slight lunacy. I love the quirks and the quintessentially British lunacy.”

– Adam Reed

RUTH CRILLY

Now, doesn’t Ruth Crilly have quite the sweet nose? Who can blame her for sniffing out something so scrumptious! Join the fabulous model and writer on Penhaligon’s latest episode of Making Scents of It. Pass the popcorn, old chap.

What is your relationship with fragrance?

"For me, everything that I use has some element of nostalgia, so it'll be really sparking off some kind of emotion."

- Ruth Crilly

MARIANELA NUÑEZ

Ballerina Marianela Nuñez truly inspired us with her thoughts on fragrance – and naturally, we couldn’t agree with her more! Watch the nimble-nosed dancer sniff an array of redolent delights in the latest instalment of the series.

What are your favourite unusual things to smell?

“I will definitely say the smell of backstage, in any theatre, it’s magical. When the day comes that I don’t get to dance anymore, that’s something that I think I’m really going to miss.”

- Marianela Nuñez
