Setting the Table

LET'S SET ONE THING STRAIGHT

For that all-important photo opportunity and to properly flex one’s place setting prowess, best refer to Penhaligon’s exhaustive guide to dressing the dinner table, With a little help from Willow of @Willowcrossleycreates

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

I like to start by working out the overall colour I want the table to be.  Either the flowers or the table cloth will usually dictate this. I’ve used lots of bleached ruscus and wispy grass here with little dots of pink and red from the berries and wax flower to make it feel soft and pretty. I always love scattering bits down a table, be it crab apples like I’ve done here or nuts that I’ve sprayed gold, gold coins, shells, mini pine cones..

PENS TABLETOP TIPS

Adorning each place setting with a cracker will bring a jolly start to the proceedings, and your guests will be thrilled with what’s inside – an adorable Penhaligon’s aroma in 10ml, no less.

Light a Penhaligon’s candle before your guests arrive to set the scene, and fill your home with a memorably merry scent.

Finished your signature fragrance? No matter! Empty Penhaligon’s bottles make perfect miniature vases to accompany the main floral event.

Give your napkins one final flourish with a glistening Christmas charm, and ready yourself for a parade of peart faces

Gift your guests with a Miniature Fragrance. Keepsakes and souvenirs always make for a memorable occasion.
