Valentines Day

Explore the Elixir of Love In Its Many Forms

What better way to spend Valentine’s Day than feasting your nostrils on a lovingly scented gift from the Portrait’s family? Penhaligon’s Portraits collection of fragrances is personified by a fictitious Aristocratic family, their clandestine paramours, and their dashing comrades.

This year, we welcomed our eponymous founder, The Inimitable William Penhaligon, a master of perfumery and trusted confidant to the Portraits family. So without further adieu, we’d like to introduce to you, the Portraits family, in the hope that you’ll uncover your own elixir of love or even a delightful, luscious gift for your beau.

THE TRAGEDY OF LORD GEORGE

Do come in and meet Penhaligon’s noble patriarch. Lord George is a gent rooted in tradition and certainly one for old fashioned romance. The stately stag of Scotland captures both traditional masculinity and sophistication. Enjoy his fougère scent, with head notes of lavender and warm rum, complemented with the Tonka bean and a base of vetiver and cedarwood.

THE INIMITABLE WILLIAM PENHALIGON

Reimagined within the Portraits World, William is the Perfumer to the Family. His newest scent’s focus is on Vetiver, a favourite of the perfumery master’s ingredients - woven inside an Oriental structure, with earthy warm notes of Cedarwood and Sandalwood.
