Covent Garden - Saturday 12th May
This tour takes us across Regent Street and into the dark environs of Soho. Soho was considered one of the most dangerous parts of London from about 1825 and what seem like charming narrow streets and alleys now, were not places where respectable people hung out. The tour will expose some charming details on houses and squares in London and reveal a side to life in Covent Garden that is difficult to imagine today. Were the flower girls of Covent Garden all they seemed? How did this part of London become an area where royalty and aristocracy rubbed shoulders with the poorest of London’s poor? All will be revealed!
This walking tour starts at 2pm Saturday 12th May and will last approximately 2 hours. For full terms and conditions please click here.
