Burlington Arcade - Saturday 19th May
Regent Street and Piccadilly are two of the most famous streets in London but where did they get their names and who created these major thoroughfares? This tour will go backstage within London’s finest postcode to see the more unusual parts of London. This was an area dominated by aristocratic men which will become apparent as we walk past the gentlemen’s clubs, cigar shops and tailors towards St James Palace. What secrets does this area hold and why did William Penhaligon decide to set up his barbershop here in this most exclusive area? We will enjoy both the space and the gossip of Green Park as we wind and wiggle our way around the Old Palace Quarter.
This walking tour starts at 11am Saturday 19th May and will last approximately 2 hours. For full terms and conditions please click here.
