A colourful burst of exuberant delight - designed to enchant with a lavishness usually reserved for Kings. Extraordinary and extravagant ingredients are in abundance. The leaves of tomato, raspberry and mint bring colourful verve, vitality and a vegetal flair. Rich florals (jasmine, geranium, honeysuckle, ylang ylang) as well as warm woods and white musks enhance all that is sublime. A ricochet of inspiring sensations, gathered from afar. Dancing with lightness, diving into matter itself: ambregris, Africa Stone, patchouli. A fragrance of substance that expresses the elevation of elation.
This is a wonderful, quite complex fragrance, with an immediate burst of tomato leaf, raspberry and mint leaves, settling to vetiver and a drydown wh...ich includes a warm, subtle musk thus difficult to categorise either as citrus or floral - more headed towards a chypre. It is light, refreshing and yet warm the tomato leaf being especially cleverly integrated - there is a sweetness very well balanced by the mint and vetiver. I think it is basically quite unlike anything else and I recommend it in the highest terms as a day fragrance. the composition has been given some re-thinks and updates since it was originally introduced, about 35 years ago, and I think Penhaligon's have really got this right.
