    • I purchased "Elixir" recently. I am in total love of this scent! I work mostly with women. They drool when I pass by. I drool when I smell this. It is soooo natural and musky and way manly. Thanks!
    • Delightful Samarkand
    • by Phillippa Owen
    • There are few products with such a lovely fragrance which lingers for so long. I have candles I was given 12 years ago and they still smell gorgeous. I even have some room fragrance and black pillar candles which have long been discontinued which I eek out as I cannot replace them. Come on Penhaligon's, why not reintroduce a broader range again? I for one would be first in the queue!
    • English Fern In Paris
    • by Wendy
    • I was recently on holiday in Paris, from the States, and was walking down the Rue des Francs Bourgeois. I sensed something very familiar - a beautiful scent in the air that reminded me of when I lived in London. I looked up and was absolutely delighted to see Penhaligon's! I immediately went into this charming shop and was in a wondrous state of sensory nirvana. I purchased two scents: Cornubia, which I have worn for years, and then found a new treat, English Fern, which ironically, was the fragrance that pulled me into the Paris shop. English Fern captures everything that is magical about the natural and fresh beauty of an English countryside, and it transports me back to a place I love.
    • Smells Soooooooo Good!
    • by John Whybrow
    • My Juniper Sling was bought for me by my wife for our last wedding anniversary. The first time I wore it, women and even a few men told me I smelt good! Luckily for me, word got out and I received a Penhaligon's presentation tin of Juniper Sling for Christmas. Got enough to keep me going till our next anniversary!
    • Intoxicating Elixir

    • A few years ago I bought Cornubia bath oil for my daughter in law who lives abroad (my thought was it was something very English) and when I next visited I asked her what she thought of it and she told me she didn't use bath oil as she only showered so would I like to use it instead, which I duly did and became hooked. A few weeks ago I came to Covent Garden to purchase another of the same to be informed that it had been discontinued, oh dear what to do, but settled for Malabah. You are hearing from someone who previously had never used anything from Penhaligon and it was all by accident and a very nice mistake to have made !
    • His Perfume I Adore, Blenheim Bouquet
    • by Annie
    • I was immediately smitten with this fresh yet sophisticated scent. A delightful fragrance with a citrus opening ( a mixture of lemon and lavender ), and pleasant woody and musky tones to follow, which makes out of Blenheim Bouquet a subtle, light and modern scent whilst it retains a timeless gentlemanly elegance. Elegant yet bold enough to stand out from the majority of gentleman's fragrances Blenheim Bouquet is powerful and seductive, subtle and pleasing... The perfect scent for the contemporary gentleman, distinctive yet versatile, understated yet powerful... Another scent full of paradoxes! Just the way my beloved Malabah also is.
    • A Travel Back In Time
    • by Z
    • Since I was a little kid I have always been fascinated with time travel. And what a better way to travel in time than through fragrance! Blenheim Bouquet is my time machine. Its spice and wood notes take me to a time when a glass of cognac and a cigar were the rule of the day and formal wear was expected at the dinner table. Wearing Bleinheim Bouquet makes me feel like walking in my own time capsule, undisturbed by the modern world,
    • My Dream Every Day
    • by Gianni
    • ciao. i live in italy but having found my best fragrances in Bayolea, Sartorial and Juniper sling. Happy, elegant as sartorial, sunny as bayolea and joyous as Juniper s., makes you feel.. as you smell..my three perfect perfumes. I wear everyday and don't ever change
    • Bluebell And Castille
    • by Isabelle
    • Bluebell has been my long time favourite and a classic single perfume that has taken me from dawn to dusk its scent changing subtly throughout the day and lingering captivatingly into the night. As an experiment on my last visit I also purchased Castille. Although mostly likely aimed at a male audience, its crisp, light and yet warm cologne works well as a day time fragrance for ladies too! Having been given a small sample of Iris Prima, that really must be next!
    • Artemisia In The Antipodes
    • by Jo Cain, Melbourne, Australia
    • 45 years it took me to find Artemisia - it is so divine that I am hoping for another 45 years to enjoy wearing it!It was love at first spritz. I look forward to my annual UK trip to visit the beautiful Panhaligons store in George Street, Edinburgh and indulge in more of this exceptional fragrance. Thank you Penhaligons.
    • Ostara......
    • by susan daglian
    • Childhood memories of picking spring flowers and being gloriously happy. Ostara captures the hope, triumph and aspirations of a new spring day! Daffodils have many layers and are very complex. I feel that nothing is impossible and that Ostara is the most fabulous Penhaligon's fragrance of them all! Of good taste there is no disputing.....Ostara has it all!!!!!
    • Long Lasting Superb Perfume!!!
    • by Manuel

    • I Adored Peoneve As Soon As I Smelled A Sample And Bought It Immediately It Went On Sale.
    • by Heather
    • Peoneve: the fragrance is as gorgeous as the flower.
    • Vaara Is More Than A Rose.
    • by Gillian Cagliari
    • Whenever I purchase a rose bush for my garden, an essential requirement is its fragrance. Not all roses are perfumed. Whenever I purchase a perfume, it has to be roses. There is a myriad of rose based perfumes, but none to compare with Vaara. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, but Vaara is more than a rose - it shines, it uplifts, it makes me float on air. I wear it by day and I wear it to bed - what a luxury to fall asleep in its aura. All the other rose perfumes that I possess now seem leaden and vulgar in comparison to Vaara. Vaara for ever!
    • Vaara

    • Rich, exotic, capitivating, romantic. Vaara takes me to a world where I can have anything I desire. A Middle Eastern fairy tale.
    • Artemisia - My New Addiction
    • by Stephanie
    • An unexpected favourite! I picked this up as a miniature with a gift box I bought to sample before deciding on a large bottle. It is a scent that lasts all day, it smells beautiful and subtly different as the day progresses. A fragrance like no other, it is truly intoxicating - I am addicted to its scent!
    • A Mother'S Joy, A Son'S Pride

    • I recently bought Lavandula for my mum. She hasn't received it yet but I am quietly confident that small gestures like this will make all the toil of her parenting days well worth it!!!
    • Heaven Scent
    • by David Saint
    • I'm a crusty old cleric of seventy years, with hair in my nose and hair in my ears. Of emails and blogging I admit to know naught But I'm managing this with more ease than I thought. But of grooming I have to admit that I am top for even a cleric likes to make people stop and ask, "What is your fragrance, Dear Father D?" and I simply respond with delight and with glee. "Penhaligon's 'Blenheim' is always my choice" I tell them with never a shake in my voice. "It's subtle, it's elegant, warm and inspiring and lasts, oh so long, just like me, though retiring". So If I fail to convert the world to God's love, At least I know 'Blenheim' was scent from above!
    • Penhaligons The Pride Of British Perfumery
    • by Tanusree Ghosh
    • Like the bemused rally of amused rats following the magical tunes of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, you get drawn into the charming aroma oozing out of a fine restaurant or a perfumery. Your senses turn on to find out the source of fragrance to quench your curiosity. This is what happened when we went to Bicester Village last year when he was allured by this fragrance coming out of the Penhaligons shop. Sadly we didn’t complete the purchase that time. He explored but shied away from commitment. Finally last week, I whisked him off for perfume shopping. I was more drawn to Endymion from men’s collection. I along with the ladies of the shop were convinced that being such an imposing charmer he already is, Endymion will be the perfect addition of attention armoury in his arsenal. One of the notes is lavender and yet this perfume is supposed to be “charismatic and sensual” loaded with aphrodisiac notes. Sensuality and masculinity in a bottle plus lavender – perfect recipe for the alpha male.
    • Captivate, Enrapture, Enamor
    • by Anja
    • The Quintessential aroma of femininity. Delicate, complex, subtle yet intoxicating. Gently evoke an intangible air of mystery, ethereal grace and irresistible allure wherever you wander. Envisage a bouquet gathered from the arcane gardens of princesses, heroins and the angels up above - Elizabethan Rose transcends time.
    • Bluebells
    • by Maria
    • This is a fragrance to captivate me like no other—that divine combination of morning dew and a forest of flowers at twilight, intoxicating to all who are lucky enough to catch a whiff. And the compliments are endless, everywhere I go, whenever people smell it the let their eyes fall closed to savor it, then, opening them as if waking from a dream tell me what it reminds them of. One woman told me it was like standing on the porch in the midst of a summer storm. We all know that feeling, when the breeze is just right, when time seems to stop and all one can smell is the damp fragrance of good, clean earth and flowers. Penhaligon's has captured that feeling in a bottle forever with Blubell.

    • Love in a bottle...Malabah
    • Note: Amended From
    • by mary zeman
    • "Who smells so divine?" said the stewardess rolling a snack cart down the aisle. "Who smells so good?" said the woman at the restaurant, said the ticket taker at the show. "Oh it's you! YOU smell divine," said my daughter, said my grandson and the stewardess, said the woman, said the ticket taker too. A mystical, magical alchemy of herbs and vanilla, spices, comfort and romance, Lavandula is a spritz of indulgence in the morning and a light waft of elegance all day long.
    • Empressa Review
    • by Mary West
    • With fragrances worn by royalty and a name like Empressa I was intrigued by Penhaligon’s Empressa. When daintily applied upon the wrist the whiffs of orange and pepper tickle and tingle my nose. Normally one for distaste in fragrances my significant other leans in and states how amazing I smell. The delicate rose, patchouli, and amber make me feel sensual and warm. That being said, I fear I don’t have time to finish my review…
    • Sartorial
    • by Moreau
    • Long after that first delicious pulse of fragrance has faded, I keep catching little traces of Sartorial, when turning or adjusting my tie. Violet? Ginger? Musk? Some kind of austere metallic edge? I am delighted to find myself so complex and interesting. Other people (especially women above all, women) seem to be as well, as they dip back in for further inhalations.
    • Becoming A Quintessential English Summer ....
    • by Farzana Rashid
    • Perfume for me is a key to another world it takes me into its veil and opens up alternative realm that only I have the key to. For me Ellenisia is just that, it is deeply wistful yet comforting – transferring me into an English summer garden where everything is bursting with life yet lazing along saying, “autumn and winter were worth this one moment – I am here now”. I become Ellenisia the English Summer……. On another note ... Penhaligons capture essences at the precise moment of ripeness - it’s a jolt of unadulterated scent encapsulated in their signature bottles. When I want to be remembered I buy a Penhaligon scent for the receiver as a present secretly knowing, memories of our time happy times together will be evoked by its fragrance. We can only change the world doing one random act at a time. I have been a Penhaligon lover since 1986 when my father bought the 'Elisabethan Rose" for my mother. So thank you .... for many more memories.

    • More than 50 years gone in an instant - I am a small child breathing in a posy of fresh lily of the valley in a tiny vase - that scent! Penhaligon's Lily of the Valley is so real - if you close your eyes you might just remember where you first experienced this beautiful flower. Simply the best.

    • I wandered along the rows in Chester and came across Penhaligans for the first time. I helped myself to a ribbon perfumed with the utter beguiling, enchanting perfume of Eau Sans Pareil. I continued to hold it and smell it long after i had returned home but i was so enchanted by the beautiful perfume that evoked love, feminity and summer flowers that i returned to Chester to treat myself to a bottle of this magical perfume. It is by far the most beautiful perfume i have ever come across and is my very firm favourite.I will definately buy it again.

    • It Always Me!
    • by Fran Ward-Jones
    • My Penhaligons perfume of choice is the sublime Artemisia. Without fail, whenever I wear it, someone always says, usually with several women...and men, in the vicinity...." What is that gorgeous scent and who is wearing it?". My response is always swift and the same......" That would be me!" followed by me pulling out my atomiser for all to enjoy.
    • A Warm Hug
    • by Henrik Dahl
    • I came to the office one morning. First thing that happened was that I got a big hug from my boss. He looked around and said to the staff: "This is great! Tobacco and what an aftershave." Yes, I smoke. Later that day, I met my ex-wife for lunch. She said: "What a wonderful scent. It makes me happy". She has always been very picky about scents, had the term "pour Homme" for male fragrances with too much musk or otherwise too compromising or aggressive. This was my 50'th birthday, and for the occasion I had used SARTORIAL sparingly. It was not the birthday that made me the man of the day. I found out later that every time I use SARTORIAL, it does not only make me happy. People smile more and appear to feel more comfortable. I certainly do.
    • All Through The Year

    • Eau Sans Pareil
    • by Wilma Tam
    • “Eau Sans Pareil”, how special it sounds but how hard it is to pronounce for non-French speakers. Yet, not until you try it, how pleasant and original it feels, and deep and elegant to wear, “Matchless s” ensemble indeed!
    • Lose Your Inhibitions With This Scent
    • by Charlotte
    • Penhaligon's Juniper Sling . . . "A woman's perfume tells more about her than her handwriting" This eau de toilette is enchanting. It's crisp. It's fresh. It's powerful. It's said that a fragrance reflects who you see yourself as, which is why I fell in love with Juniper Sling. Once you experience this scent, you will never forget it. I love the fruity but somewhat woody and velvety notes. The first notes I get are pepper and orange, followed by the cherry and cinnamon. The juniper berries remain for the whole journey. For me, there's just nothing like it. Definitely purchase this perfume, you may just find your signature scent like I did!

    • Enchanting Scent
    • by Cheryl
    • Wandering along King's Road, bathed in exhaust fumes from passing traffic, suddenly I caught a waft of something intoxicatingly lovely! I retraced my steps to find a basket of bows outside your shop and went in to say, "What is that wonderful scent - I want it!" It was Levanthium - fresh, but not light, not too summery but cooling and sweet. A true original, it is going to scent my summer.

    • by Ina Hacksteiner
    • My husband and I came across your lovely fragrances two years ago and haven't used any others since. They are very hard to get in Austria, but they are becoming more popular - and of course I can buy them online, too. Our favourite ones are Juniper Sling and Lothair. We also love the shops in Regent Street and Covent Garden and will go back there in the summer!

    • To purchase a quality scent is definitely money well spent I buy mine for the reason That I like to match them to the season Which means in a year I am capable Of experiencing all of the fragrances available. Blenheim Boquet, English Fern and Juniper Sling All of these I like for for Spring Leventium, Douro and Elixir are warm and bold So suit the damp winter, when it is cold. Where I live is mostly hot and equatorial So my recent purchase was Sartorial A generous spray in the morning When the sun is still dawning Is a great way to start my long and busy day whether I be off to work or out to play After hours spent toiling in the heat The uplifting freshness of this fragrance is hard to beat. So of the elegant Sartorial I am the proud owner However I who knows in the summer - maybe Vaara, Castile or Zizonia PS I recently treated myself to the adventurous Lothair But my son loves so much that he is reluctant to share!

    • by Anne Cartwright
    • Bonjour! I have lived in France for a long time, but having found my dream fragrance in Quercus have not wavered. The allure of others means nothing to me, it's simply love and, I don't regret remaining faithful for a moment. I know I am well dressed when I wear it and I have even been persuaded to let my French friends into my secret! More than a walk in the woods Quercus has been for me a walk through my life and my love. Don't ever change it.t
