Penhaligon's is working with RIBA and the London Design Festival this month for the RIBA Regent Street Windows Project. The project enables RIBA architects to work with retailers along Regent Street to create stunning architectural installations within their windows.

The windows at our Regent Street boutique draws on the rich history of perfume making and its origins in distillation and chemistry. Inspired by the evocative fragrances and the raw ingredients from which they are extracted, RIBA architect Al-Jawad Pike has created a labyrinthine construction of blown glassware, held within a three-dimensional lattice of copper pipe. The glass vessels contain raw ingredients while the copper references the first ambelic retorts and distillation apparatus’ that were historically used in perfume making. The result is an absolutely astonishing and intricate installation.
