  • Created in 1996, Quercus declares itself with a light burst of citrus and basil, supported by a heart accord of jasmine, cardamom and muguet that is sweet, spiced and supremely delicate. The greenness of the basil persists into the surprisingly resilient musk and sandalwood base notes. These are warmed through with moss and patchouli to create elegant, strong and uplifting cologne. Named after the Latin for the British Oak, Quercus is a modern and invigorating cologne enjoyed by both men and women. .

    • What I Was Looking For
    • by Wes
    • Was looking for a fragrance to replace my usual cologne which had been discontinued. Tried about five different colognes and this was closest. Except I like it better than my old cologne. It's a bit smoother and fresher. I like the patchouli, musk, amber, sandalwood mix. Great for during the day as it's not overpowering, but like it for night, too, for the same reason.

    • Simply The Best
    • by Margaret
    • My son bought Quercus eau de toilette for me for Mothering Sunday. Having had both 'female' and 'male' fragrances from Penhaligon's, I have come to the conclusion I prefer what are considered the 'male' fragrances, although I'm very much female! They are distinctive and not too sweet, and Quercus is simply the best, as it combines spice, citrus and green woodland notes. It has even ousted Blenheim Bouquet as my favourite fragrance in your range. It is, simply the best.

    • I bought this for my beloved boyfriend last xmas. He never bought nothing (specially nothing so very special as Quercus cologne) for me...so he is not my boyfriend anylonger. Best present someone could get: elegant, fresh and different.

    • Fell In Love
    • by Chris
    • I was at a restaurant in London, and they had the Quercus hand soap. After using it I immediately fell in love with the scent and knew I must have it, so I took a quick picture of the bottle with my phone. The next day I headed straight to the Penhaligons shop and purchased the Quercus cologne, hand soap, and lotion. I am absolutely in love and continue to purchase in the States. The scent is very unique. It's light and citrusy, but has a subtle complexity to it. Although unisex, it's definitely masculine enough for men. Not heavy and overpowering either. Just absolutely beautiful, distinctly British, and unique. Easily something I'd recommend anyone have in their fragrance collection.

    • A Classic Citrus Twist
    • by Benjamin
    • Another home-run by Penhaligon's. This is a lighter fragrance that has a citrusy edge to it. Not as masculine as others that Penhaligon's sells, but that is not to say it is feminine either. If you are not a fan of bold and spicy, Quercus might be a good match.
