Capturing the free-spirited landscape

  • Our two new creations Blasted Heath & Blasted Bloom were imagined as vibrant paintings by Master Perfumer Alberto Morillas. These two unique fragrances explore an olfactive palette reminiscent of the colours, textures and sensations of the wild coast. Cold neutrals, earthy browns, navy blues, textures inspired by rock, bark or earth, two fragrances of contrast and freedom.

Alberto’s particular talents lay in creating aquatic fragrances, enriched by woods and musky or fruity accords –making him the perfect choice to create Blasted Heath & Blasted Bloom.

Alberto Morillas drew inspiration from the northern lands of Scotland, where untamed elements compose a dramatic painting. He imagined both fragrances in the same way a painter depicts the raw energy of nature, capturing the free-spirited landscape. In each, the energy and majesty of the Sea meets the natural richness of the Land.

    Alberto Morillas, Master Perfumer:

"Both fragrances are for me like paintings of nature. They depict wilderness and the preserved landscape of British seashores. I am a very visual person; I imagined the fragrances like spontaneous photography. I see a powerful wave breaking iteself on the rocks for the masculine fragrance. For the feminine fragrance I was inspired by wild flora under the wind and sea breeze"

In 1988, Alberto was named a Master Perfumer at Firmenich, in 2003 was honoured with the coveted “Prix Francois Coty”, and in 2013, Alberto was bestowed Perfumer of the Year Lifetime Achievement award by the Fragrance Foundation in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to perfumery.
